Hello, hello, hello everyone!
Exciting news from the writing mines, I have decided to republish two of the short stories I have published over the years. They are both romances or at least the beginnings of them!
What can I say? I love meet-cutes, so apparently, when I get a romance prompt, that is what I do!
The first short story is Miss Haversmith Escapes, which is a Fantasy of Manners short story featuring Antonia Haversmith and the charming Sir Aldrydd, who is a dragon, btw. This was one of those stories that just consumed me for weeks as I figured things out and researched. It was originally for the anthology, Dragons and Heroines. I did a tonne of research for this story so I fully plan on writing more shorts in this universe, I love the world too much not to dip in there from time to time!
Fantasy of Manners, if you don’t know, is a sub-genre of fantasy where the historical period known as the Regency Era (think Napoleon and Jane Austen) is blended with magic and other fantasy elements. It is like someone alchemically designed a genre to get my attention.

The second story I am updating with a new cover is Laird is Gender Neutral, which was a short story for the anthology Queers in Kilts. This one I knew I had to write something for as soon as I saw the name of it, I mean, as a Scottish Queer Writer, it felt like fate was calling my name. Possibly with some sort of megaphone! It’s set on a fictional island off the coast of Scotland, and the story follows Hannah (our Ace protagonist) as she meets her crush at their grandfather’s funeral. Which isn’t the best place for that sort of thing, obviously!

What do you think of the covers? They’re both silly and corny in different ways, but I had fun and it was great to learn new skills like decapitating Regency gentlemen and replacing their heads with dragon heads.
Please have a read and maybe even leave a review? If there are typos or similar problems, please leave me a note here as doing that on the Amazon page causes problems.
