Set in the near future, Gwen Baird is a hacker and thief trying her best to keep herself and her family alive when the apocalypse draws near. Solar storms aren’t to be messed with when you live in a high-tech world that depends 100% on electricity! To escape certain doom, she and her nearest and dearest get places on the Dove, a massive spaceship. The plan is to escape the range of the solar storms and wait it out, but there is a flaw in the cryogenics aboard the ship. In order to avoid a percentage of people waking up in their own bodies, the ship has been outfitted with a virtual reality where everyone can upload their consciousness for the duration.

The world of After is a mish-mash of video games and virtual realities, all run by the same AI that controls the ship, Dove. However, not all is as it seems, there are monsters here that shouldn’t be and it is up to our heroes to fight back and find out what is going on!
